What’s happening in 2008The premise of sustainability is foremost at Eaton’s Creek Organics farm. There will be a great opportunity with our implementation of water conservation farm plan. A solar powered well pump will be installed during the year. The water will be used to irrigate the fields. A rain water saving system will catch water running off the hoop houses, stored and then used to irrigate the crops in the hoop houses. Also, a rain barrel system will be installed to irrigate raised beds, wash produce and to provide drinking water for our chickens. If you are interested in being a part of this water conservation project, please contact us.
